Frequently asked questions
What does The Render Doctor do?
The Render Doctor is a Brisbane render repair and restoration company. We repair and restore damaged render on existing surfaces, from cracked, chipped, crumbling and bubbling render to patching, and we also take on larger projects including a complete render and repaint of your entire home.
What render problems can you fix?
We repair cracked render and joints, chipped render, bubbling render and crumbling render, and we patch holes, cracks, chips and bubbles, for example after an AC unit or downpipe has been removed. You can read more about each problem on The Process page.
How does a render repair work?
First we diagnose the source of the problem, so it is less likely to come back, and examine your existing render and any coatings to choose the right products. Next come the remedial works: preparing the surface and removing damaged render, then typically reskimming the surface and meshing joints and cracks with fibreglass mesh as necessary. If a decorative finish has been used, we tailor the new finish to match the surrounding render. The final stage is colour matching the repair to your existing render using Dulux colour matching technology.
